Stubby's original BBQ
restaurant was opened on Park Avenue back in 1952. In the
late 1980's many locals thought Stubby's quality dipped.
This made timing great for several new BBQ restaurants
to open using a sauce and menu items similar to
the original Stubby's BBQ restaurant. The success of the
newer restaurants provides evidence of how popular
Stubby's was in its heyday. Stubby's seems to have
rebounded from its slump with the location on Central Avenue not
far from Oaklawn Park. Stubby's serves the sweet BBQ sauce
that became so popular in Hot Springs. They have good
ribs, sandwiches, BBQ beans, and baked potatoes. Stubby's
is a good choice for BBQ in a town full of good BBQ restaurants.
